OPI Now Available at ULTA.com, First Authorized E-Commerce Source in United States

            OPI announces the start of authorized e-commerce on ULTA.com. ULTA has been a licensed OPI salon account since 2000 and will be the first authorized account to sell OPI products online in the United States.

            ULTA.com will carry the full OPI consumer product line, including the latest collection releases as well as over 200 classic nail lacquer shades, nail treatments, lotions, and certain manicure/pedicure tools.  The site will also offer some of OPI’s value-priced consumer promotions.

OPI Pamplona Purple Swatch

Hello Everyone!

The weekend is again upon us! My week ended on a very high note. I mean dog whistle high! So high you can't even hear it. I just got the approval to start conducting interviews for my thesis research!　万歳(banzai/hooray)!!!!! Some benevolent spirit must know my birthday is coming soon. I've never been so ready for Monday to get here! Speaking of birthdays, I have yet another swatch for my Birthstone Manicure series! I present to you all, OPI Pamplona Purple!!!

Pamplona Purple is a gorgeous plum purple creme polish! In my opinion, it leans the slightest bit redder in real life. The formula on this was great! The consistency was neither thick nor thin. Pamplona Purple goes on to the nail even from the first coat. I needed just two coats to reach perfect opacity, no bald spots! The shine was amazing even before I put on my top coat. This is a great color to add to any collection!

Birthstone Manicure NOTD

Hi, Everyone!!!

The weekend is quickly coming to a close! Can't say I'm particularly happy about that. My plans for the weekend included doing my nails (of course), and working on thesis revisions, yaaayyyy! My sarcasm is at 100% right now. As part of my Birthstone Manicure series I mentioned in my last post, I wanted to show you all how I decided to wear Do You Lilac It? from OPI. I paired it with another favorite from my collection, OPI Mad as a Hatter from their Alice in Wonderland Collection!

OPI Do You Lilac It? Swatch

Hello Everyone!

Hope you're having a wonderful Wednesday! Valentine's Day is a day away but rather than giving you all a themed manicure, I've chosen to start a Birthstone Manicure series! For February babies, like myself, the birthstone is Amethyst. This stone can come in a wide range of purples and sometimes even yellow. Today I present to you, Do You Lilac It? from OPI!

Do You Lilac It? is a lilac/light purple, blue-based polish with a creme finish. I have to say this is one of my favorites! The formula was perfect, not to thin or thick. I had perfect coverage with just one coat! However, for the sake of the swatches (and maybe even habit) I used 2 coats of polish.

Big Apple Red Swatch

Hello, Everyone!

Happy Friday! Hope you all have had an amazing week. I've been busy juggling class, working on my thesis, doing class assignments and the list drags on...and on...and on. The bright side? Valentine's Day aka Single Awareness Day is coming up! I've decided to swatch a color that is perfect for the occasion! I present to you an oldie but goodie from OPI, Big Apple Red!

Big Apple Red is a true red creme. By true red I mean that the base is blue with no leanings toward orange at all. The formula had the slightest hint of thickness but very easy to work with. To my surprise, after two coats my smile line was still showing! I needed three coats to reach perfect opacity. If you do not have a true red in your collection yet, Big Apple Red would make a great addition. Now, normally this would be the end of my post but I have to discuss something...

Chloe Moretz in the remake of Carrie

This is what my fingers looked like when I attempted to remove this color! They were completely stained! Even after using pure acetone I had a tint of red all over my fingers. Took a lot of good scrubbing to get it completely off!

I Don't Give a Rotterdam! Swatch

Hello, All!

This week is seriously flying by! Wednesdays are always great. Wednesdays are both the beginning of the end of the work week and also...Modern Family comes on! I absolutely love that show. Today I have a random NOTD post! I present to I Don't Give a Rotterdam! from the OPI Holland Collection!

I Don't Give a Rotterdam! is a very light blue/periwinkle polish with blue and silver shimmer. As would be expected with such a light color, I Don't Give a Rotterdam! is a bit sheer. However, I was still able to reach perfect opacity with 2 coats. Finally, the formula was great, very easy to work with.
